A little bit about me
Bio and Background
I am a graduate from the University of Cambridge. During my 3 years at Cambridge I studied Natural Sciences and chose to specialise in Zoology for my final year. After graduating in 2022, I spent 3 months working in a boutique wildlife conservation consultancy (Conservation Capital) and a further 4 months travelling around Latin America. I visited conservation projects in Colombia, Argentina, Paraguay and Bolivia during this time. In September of 2023 I will begin a MRes degree in Biodiversity, Conservation and Evolution at University College London.
I struggle to think of any single action more important than the protection and proliferation of our remaining wild areas. Of course, my use of 'one single action' is misleading due to the diversity of solutions that must come together in the fight against biodiversity decline. I believe that, if leveraged correctly, business and technology can be of great aids in the years to come. Admittedly, I am still unsure as to how I can best contribute to this sector over the years to come.
Inspiration is an important currency within the wildlife conservation community. Nature is a more than capable muse alone, but it certainly helps when inspirational characters decided to champion its protection. For me, growing up John and Sir David were crucial in conveying nature's beauty and the subsequent importance of doing everything we can to protected it.
I am very lucky to have visited some incredible countries in my life so far, and fancy myself as a (very) amateur wildlife photographer. I particularly enjoy trying to convey unique animal behaviour by capturing wildlife in the wider context of their surrounding environment.
